Interesting article found in the November 21, 1929 issue of The Film Daily. This little snippet was published just over one year from the date the first Mickey Mouse sound cartoon Steamboat Willie made its debut in New York City.
Judging by the list of prestigious theaters now playing Disney cartoons, I'd say this Walt Disney fellow will probably be around for awhile.
This full-page ad appeared in the May 13, 1929 Edition of The Film Daily.
The Mickey Mouse graphics in this ad were drawn by animator Les Clark. These illustrations also appeared in several other 1929 and 1930 magazines featuring Disney articles, and they represent some of the earliest Mickey Mouse publicity drawings ever created.
From the February 3, 1929 edition of The Film Daily comes the announcement that Mickey Mouse cartoons will be distributed internationally.
No long after this announcement was published, Disney cartoons began appearing on the screens of theaters in England, France, and Germany.
