Hard to believe one year has passed already. Through my small involvement, I was able to see the facility progress...from the construction of the new glass infill building that started out as a hole in the ground in the back courtyard area, to the empty shell of a building that was upgraded to building code standards and then filled with the most wonderful displays loaded with historically important artifacts.
The best decision made during the planning process was to use the many television and radio appearances and interviews Walt Disney participated in during his lifetime. Audio and visual clips from these broadcasts have been used extensively throughout the Museum, so in effect, Walt Disney tells his own story.

While Walt may not have necessarily approved of a Museum, I think in some way he would have been pleased with the technology used, and with the fact that by showcasing his own achievements, the Museum may encourage and motivate future artists.
If you are a fan of Walt Disney, you need to make the trip.

It's most definitely on my "to-do" list. The last time I was in SF, I was just a few weeks too early and missed the opening.
